Kent Association for the Blind Charity Sponsorship
SADS IT provides business IT support to a very wide range of organisations. Our commitment to Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) has been long-standing and not-for-profit – we are incredibly proud of the support we have provided to an organisation that does such important work.
Iris Mobile Sight Centre
As a goodwill gesture, and part of our charity sponsorship, we gladly tasked ourselves with installing and maintaining the Wi-Fi network the Iris Mobile Sight Centre. The bus travels throughout the county to rural villages, schools, summer fairs, libraries, fundraising events, and more. It is equipped with tools, resources, and technology that will help offer assistance and guidance to current clients who have vision impairments, new clients, and members of the general public. Iris will also spread awareness of the value of maintaining good eye health, which includes getting routine eye exams. We want more people to be aware of what we do, especially carers, professionals, and people who are blind.
This is part of a project by the Kent Association for the Blind to spread awareness of what great work they do, especially to carers, professionals and those visually impaired.
As well as installing and maintaining the Wi-Fi network in a mobile sight bus (Iris) for free, the team at SADS IT has shown support to the charity by participating in charity events and working alongside this important cause throughout the year. We have been recognised for the last three years at the KAB heart of KAB annual awards, winning the award in 2021.
